Poem a Day – Day 1

Posted in words by Lara Crombie on November 2, 2009

We remember streets called words for blister piss ‘round corners marked by mammoth leaps of faith once talked about in cups of tea you stir like whisking eggs; and omelets on the southern side the one that lost the girls to spiraled slides and only now we chew on thoughts of better days and longer time; ‘round buildings under city watch where home is drawn in sidewalk chalk a Mary left her mark for Luke we’re sure (he wrote a note) those signs of fearless age; ‘round lovers blocks to nowhere good we know the cuts we’ll be there soon.
