Poem a Day – Day 1

We remember streets called words for blister piss ‘round corners marked by mammoth leaps of faith once talked about in cups of tea you stir like whisking eggs; and omelets on the southern side the one that lost the girls to spiraled slides and only now we chew on thoughts of better days and longer time; ‘round buildings under city watch where home is drawn in sidewalk chalk a Mary left her mark for Luke we’re sure (he wrote a note) those signs of fearless age; ‘round lovers blocks to nowhere good we know the cuts we’ll be there soon.
